Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Gyedi platform at gyedi.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
## Description of Service
Gyedi is an escrow-based marketplace platform operated by Gyedi Technologies. We provide a secure intermediary service where buyers and sellers can transact safely — funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt of goods or services.
## Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Gyedi. By using our platform, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Ghanaian law.
## Account Registration
To use Gyedi, you must register with a valid Ghana phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
## Escrow Service
**How it works:** The buyer funds the escrow with the agreed amount plus a 1.5% service fee. Funds are held securely by Gyedi until the buyer confirms receipt of the item or service. Upon confirmation, funds are released to the seller.
**Service Fee:** Gyedi charges a 1.5% fee on every escrow transaction. This fee is paid by the buyer and is non-refundable once a transaction is completed.
**Release of Funds:** Funds are released to the seller only when the buyer confirms receipt. If no action is taken within the agreed timeframe, Gyedi may release funds at its discretion.
## Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use Gyedi for illegal transactions or money laundering
- Provide false information during registration or KYC verification
- Attempt to defraud other users or manipulate the escrow process
- List counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Attempt to circumvent Gyedi's escrow system by transacting off-platform
## Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between buyer and seller, either party may open a dispute through the platform. Gyedi's support team will review evidence provided by both parties and make a final determination. Gyedi's decision on disputes is final.
## KYC Verification
Gyedi requires identity verification for full platform access. You agree to provide accurate identity documents when requested. Gyedi reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification or provide fraudulent documents.
## Intellectual Property
All content, logos, trademarks, and software on Gyedi are the property of Gyedi Technologies. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
## Limitation of Liability
Gyedi acts as an escrow intermediary only. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Our liability is limited to the escrow amount held at the time of any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
## Termination
Gyedi reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any reason we deem appropriate. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@gyedi.app.
## Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
## Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of Gyedi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
